carv instructor certification

Welcome to the Professional Ski Instructors of Canada's CARV Instructor Certification Program!

As the digital landscape continues to expand, the potential to enrich the learning experience grows. By leveraging objective data and measurable outcomes, students can tangibly track their progress.

In the CARV Instructor Certification, you will explore the principle that “function precedes form,” learning how specific changes can lead to objective, measurable outcomes. This understanding will enhance both your skiing and teaching techniques as well as allow you to continue to practice feedback from the course autonomously. By familiarizing yourself with CARV technology, you will connect more effectively with the growing community of ski instructors and the public who utilize technology for personal development.

Beginning February 2025, this program is being piloted at Whistler Blackcomb with the intention to expand to additional ski areas.  Please consult the PSIC Program Directory for limited CARV Certification programming for winter 2024/25.
