What to Expect from Training
PSIC is committed to the education and support of professionals in the ski industry through unique concepts and approaches, as well as through the structure and format of the PSIC certification pathway. The LPT Annual Trainer Update is being offered at no cost to participants.
The training is designed to help you as an individual achieve new milestones in your career while providing guidance, tools, and expertise to meet the industry's expectations of ski professionals.
Our system is evolving extensively through an ever-increasing focus on an evidence-informed first principles approach, emphasizing the physical, intellectual, and emotional dynamics of teaching and learning. This approach aims to facilitate achievement and foster a love for our sport, from everyday ski lessons at the grassroots level to professional certification pathways.
In-person training will take place in two-day blocks at various locations beginning in November 2024. A detailed training itinerary and supporting course materials will be provided ahead of the course. As PSIC trainers, we aim to offer ongoing development opportunities both in person and virtually through educational tools.
